Maryanne Benedict

MaryAnne Benedict, RN, MSN, Chair of nurseradio.org, is an education consultant with more than 25 years experience in all aspects of development, implementation, evaluation and administration of continuing education for health care professionals. As an education specialist and coordinator in the acute care hospital setting, MaryAnne has been responsible for all components of continuing education for health care. She has also developed and implemented patient and family education programs.MaryAnne is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, the National Association of Orthopedic Nurses (NAON), the Massachusetts Nurses' Association (MNA) Committee on Continuing Education, and the Massachusetts Association of Registered Nurses (MARN). Recently, she has been appointed to the American Nurses' Association (ANA), American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation (ANCC COA).

Barbara Dossy, PhD, MS, BSN is an educator, consultant,researcher, author and a pioneer in the holistic nursing movement.Barbara is the author of many respected and award winning books. Her latest book,Florence Nightingale: Mystic, Visionary, Healer, focuses on the philosophical and practical impact of Florence Nightingale's life and work on modern nursing and humankind. Barbara's offerings profoundly alter perceptions about holistic nursing. An inspired teacher, she effectively integrates non-traditional viewpoints with a high degree of scientific awareness in her lectures worldwide. Spanning the full range of current nursing and health information, her presentations provide challenging, practical, and innovative ways to combine holistic health care with high-level wellness.

Deanne Aime, BNS, MPH, BRE is the immediate past-President and Elder Advisor of the American Holistic Nurses Association. With over 45 years of nursing experience Deanne has combined her passion for nursing, education, public health and theology into a specialty practice of PsychoSpiritual Nursing. A registered nurse and ordained minister, she views our human experience as “spiritual beings having physical experiences”. Her written work, “Good Grief “, is both healing and uplifting, providing food for thought, the heart and the soul.

Maureen Spencer, RN, MEd is a Certified Nurse Specialist in the area of Infection Control and Epidemiology. She has 24 years of hospital experience as Director and Coordinator of Infection Control. Eleven of those years were at the Massachusetts general Hospital, where she started the first Mind/Body Holistic Medicine Group at MGH. Maureen is currently the Director of Infection Control at The New England Baptist Hospital, in Boston, and the Executive Director of Finding Inner Peace, a holistic health and educational center in Abington, MA.

Elaine Carter, RN, BSN is a Clinical Nurse Specialist in asthma care, research and education. She was the coordinator for an Investigational Drug Study on Zolair, at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital and works as a nurse educator and clinician at the Harvard School of Medicine affiliate, the Partner’s Asthma Center, in Boston. Elaine is the recipient of a “Partners in Excellence” award for her outstanding work with high risk asthma adolescent and pediatric patients. She is a member of the planning board for the “Boston Asthma Nurses Coalition”, developed through the Boston Public Health Commission.

Deva-Marie Beck, PhD, RN is a clinician, nursing scholar, author, holisitic health educator, and international citizen activist who has taught and worked across the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Her recent scholarship addresses a new historical research connecting Florence Nightingale's life and work with 21st century health challenges. She is co-author of the American Nurses Association's book Florence Nightingale Today: Her Vision for A Healthy Future and is the President of "Our Healthy World," based in Washington, DC and Ottawa, Canada. "Our Healthy World" is launching the Nightingale Initiative for Global Health (NIGH).

Carol Arnold is the President & CEO of Arnold Communications, which is dedicated to cost-effectively increasing the sales and awareness of small to medium sized businesses all over the U.S., primarily in the healthcare and medical sectors, using innovative and guerrilla-focused marketing communications and PR. Considered one of the foremost experts on cost-effective business generation, she has over 15 years of sales and marketing experience. Prior to founding Arnold Communications, she held various Vice President and Director level marketing positions where she was instrumental in advancing her companies market position.

In addition to being a frequent speaker and writer, she has been quoted and featured in numerous publications and writes a monthly column for VenusDivas.com. She is a graduate of Saddleback and Emerson Colleges and volunteers for the Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome Association and the Seacoast Area Feline Education & Rescue. A California native, she is married and lives on the New Hampshire seacoast.
