Nightingale Scholar
and Activist
Deva-Marie Beck is a clinician, nursing scholar,
author, holisitic health educator, and international citizen activist
who has taught and worked across the United States, Canada, Europe,
Australia and New Zealand. Her recent scholarship addresses a new historical
research connecting Florence Nightingale's life and work with 21st century
health challenges. She is co-author of the American Nurses Association's
book Florence Nightingale Today: Her Vision for A Healthy Future
and is the President of "Our Healthy World," based in
Washington, DC and Ottawa, Canada. "Our Healthy World" is
launching the Nightingale Initiative for Global Health (NIGH).
